She speaks with a familiar accent, which only further endears her to Newt. He doesn't try to come closer; not just yet. He won't approach her without asking her permission, first. He doesn't want to overwhelm or frighten the girl. She tells him she's okay, but Newt very much doubts it, considering she's alone in the woods, covered in drying blood.

"Are your parents around?" He ventures to ask. He can't imagine they would be, or she wouldn't be left alone the way she is currently. Still, he figures it can't hurt to ask.

"If not, is there someone I can call for you?" He asks. "How can I help?"

He's not about to leave a young girl alone to fend for herself in the woods.
